Hakan Calhanoglu’s Availability For Inter’s Serie A Clash With Roma In Doubt & No Risks Will Be Taken With Fitness, Italian Media Report

Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu may miss out on the team’s Serie A clash with Roma on the other side of the international break through his thigh injury.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that no risks are being taken with the 28-year-old’s fitness, and that it will remain to be seen whether his recovery process will be completed in time to play against the Giallorossi.

Calhanoglu missed out on Inter’s last match before the break, their Serie A loss away to Udinese, through a thigh flexor problem that he picked up last week.

The Turkish international was not called up by his national team during the international break, and is currently working at the Inter training centre on returning from the fitness.

The timeline for Calhanoglu’s recovery will be tight, and he is expected to be recovered and fully fit around the time of their Serie A clash with Roma at the start of next month, but he will not be rushed back for the match if it is not felt that he is at 100%.
