Inter coach Simone Inzaghi and CEO Beppe Marotta have already spoken on the phone about the state of the season, and are planning to have a face-to-face meeting todayto talk more extensively.

This according to Franco Vanni, reporter for Rome-based newspaper La Repubblica, who reports that the coach and CEO are ready to have an in-depth conversation in person and that they believe the team is hardly out of the Scudetto race at this point in time.

Inter’s start to the season has not gone according to plan at all, and everyone within the club knows that their title hopes are now hanging by a thread, something which had not been expected just a few weeks ago.

However, Inzaghi still has faith that the team can turn a corner and that their place at the top end of the Serie A table will look drastically different.

CEO Marotta supports the coach in this view, and the pair have spoken already in a phone call, whilst Inzaghi is set to lead the first training session of the international break.

Later today, he and Marotta will speak in person, and the CEO will get a sense of what Inzaghi’s plans are to use this break as an opportunity to get the team back in the title picture.
