It will be touch and go whether or not Inter midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu will be fit in time to be available for the team’s Serie A clash with Roma after the international break.

This according to Italian broadcaster SportMediaset, who report that the 28-year-old is still some way from returning to training, and that more time will be needed to determine whether or not he will be ready to take to the pitch against the Giallorossi.

Calhanoglu has been working towards recovering from a thigh flexor problem which he picked up last week, having missed out on the Nerazzurri’s last match before the break, an away loss to Udinese over the weekend.

Now, the Turk is working on a personalized recovery program in training with the aim of returning as soon as he can after the break, but at the moment a return to full training is not on the immediate horizon and so it’s not clear if he’ll be fit for the Roma clash.
