Inter striker Romelu Lukaku completed a course of light work on the training pitch yesterday as he nears the completion of his recovery process from a thigh injury.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 29-year-old was able to start working on the pitch, although he was not able to complete a full training session with the rest of the squad yet, whilst midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu is not yet working on the pitch.

Lukaku is getting closer and closer to a return to full fitness, and yesterday represented another step forward for the Belgian, who had missed out on the last six matches for the Nerazzurri as no risks were taken with his fitness as he puts a thigh strain behind him.

The striker was able to get out on the pitch and do some light physical work without problems yesterday, whereas midfielder Calhanoglu is still working on physical therapy to get over his own thigh problem.
