Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has said that the Champions League victory in Madrid was an unforgettable experience for him and the team, according to a report in the Turkish broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Sabah Spor, via FCInternews, Javier Zanetti reminisced about some of the best moments of his career at Inter.

He picked out the 2010 Champions League final win in Madrid as an unforgettable moment when asked what the best of his career was.

“I have good memories, especially with Inter, but definitely winning the Champions League in Madrid was something unforgettable.”

He was then asked what goal of his he remembers the most and he picked out strikes against both AS Roma and Lazio. One was in the league and one was in the UEFA Cup.

“The Scudetto goal I scored in a league game against Roma (February 2008) and the one I scored in the UEFA Cup final, in Paris, against Lazio.”

He was asked about the two Turkish players that he played with at Inter, Okan Buruk and Emre Belozoglu: “Okan and Emre are very good friends, I have good memories of them. I wish them all the best.”

He also remained very loyal to Inter when asked who his favourite Turkish footballer is right now: “Hakan Calhanoglu.”
