Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is planning to start the match against AS Roma with Kristjan Asllani in the midfield in place of the suspended Marcelo Brozovic, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 20-year-old midfielder could be given his first start for the Nerazzurri since joining in the summer from Empoli.

Due to the poor form that has seen defeats in games against AC Milan, Lazio, Bayern Munich and Udinese, there has been a reluctance to start Kristjan Asllani and put him in a situation where his confidence could be negatively affected.

With Marcelo Brozovic suspended for the Serie A clash against AS Roma though, he may be trusted in the centre of the midfield three which is where many feel his future lies.

He has only played 29 minutes for Inter so far but if all goes to plan he could play 90 against the Giallorossi at San Siro.
