Inter duo Romelu Lukaku are working hard at Appiano Gentile in order to be fit to face AS Roma when the international break comes to an end, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media today.

As has been reported by Sky Sport Italia, via FCInternews, the two Inter stars are undergoing personalised training programs right now that are tailored to their respective injuries and recovery periods.

Both are able to train on the pitch and that is a positive sign ahead of the clash with the Giallorossi on October 1 and the Barcelona match in the Champions League the following week.

There is concern about aggravating the injuries if they are brought back too early but there is optimism that Romelu Lukaku will be able to start the match against AS Roma.

Given Marcelo Brozovic is suspended for the game, Simone Inzaghi will want to have Hakan Calhanoglu back in the midfield for some continuity.
