Paris Saint Germain are waiting to see if they can secure a deal for Inter defender Milan Skriniar but the Nerazzurri are discussing a new contract with him, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Ligue 1 champions have not given up hope of trying to snatch Milan Skriniar on a free transfer at the end of this season or even on a cut-price deal in January.

Inter though, are trying to secure his future and have scheduled a contract meeting for after the Barcelona match in the Champions League. There is a lot of optimism that the player will accept a new deal with Inter.

Inter seem willing to reach a salary of €6 million which they need to reach seeing as PSG offered the Slovakian €9 million. Inter seem much more interested in keeping him than selling him in January.
