Confidence is building at Inter over the possible return to fitness of Romelu Lukaku and Hakan Calhanoglu for the match against AS Roma after the international break, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri could be getting a much welcome boost as two of the most important payers in the squad work hard to be fit to face the Giallorossi on October 1.

It is much more likely that the Belgian striker will be at full fitness for the match but the chances of Hakan Calhanoglu joining him are increasing as he trains at Appiano Gentile during the international break.

His injury came more recently than Romelu Lukaku’s but he did personalised work on the training pitch on Friday. His chances of playing a role will depend on how he reacts to future training sessions with the group.
