Former Inter striker Benito Carbone has said that Inter have suffered a drop both physically and mentally this season so far, according to a report in the Italian media.

With comments reported by FCInternews, Benito Carbone spoke frankly about the poor from that Inter are in and the reasons for the poor results.

He suggested that it is down to a drop in standards amongst the Nerazzurri both physically and mentally.

“Lately they are not playing very well, they have had an incredible drop in physical and mental aspects. In the last few games they were coming second to the ball, it’s a question of mentality.”

He then talked about how they can break out of this spell. He said that he is not sure but stressed that Simone Inzaghi has access to information that others do not.

“How to get out of it? Simone Inzaghi has a perception that all of us from the outside don’t have. I don’t know what is happening. The key can be collective or individual.”

Inter have been beaten by Lazio, AC Milan and Udinese in Serie A so far this season and they were also beaten by Bayern Munich tamely in the Champions League group stage.

The next two matches are against AS Roma and then a Champions League clash with Barcelona.
