Inter wingback Denzel Dumfries has said that he can offer more to the Dutch national team and discussed his hopes for the World Cup in Qatar, according to a report in the Dutch print media.

Speaking during an interview with Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf, Denzel Dumfries stressed that he thinks he can push himself even further when it comes to aiding the Netherlands despite getting an assist in the win over Austria earlier this week.

“Unfortunately we didn’t go that far in the last European Championships, but you have seen what I have to offer. Thanks to the way I play, I can give the team something extra.”

Denzel Dumfries was signed by Inter on the back of a deeply impressive Euro 2022 campaign in which he was 0ne of the most dangerous wingers in the tournament.

He feels that he can have a World Cup in Qatar along the same vein as the Euros and the team as a whole can beat anyone when they are on song.

“I think I can perform at the World Cup just like I did at the European Championship and I hope to be just as important again. If we reach our level and play as a team, we are among the contenders for the World Cup. Opponents don’t like to play against us, because we can beat anyone on a good day.”

Denzel Dumfries has not been in great form for the Nerazzurri so far this season.
