Suning are looking for investors that can take over the 30% stake in the club that is currently held by LionRock, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, there is a differing view from the club and other financial circles as to what Steven Zhang and Suning are looking to do with the club.

The club are adamant that Steven Zhang is looking for a partner to take a 30% stake that LionRock has rather than a majority investor.

By doing this and getting fresh investment, it will increase Suning’s chances of paying back the Oaktree Capital Group loan which is becoming a major concern for the family after a lack of player sales in the summer.

In financial circles though, they suggest that he is actually waiting for the right offer to sell the club entirely which is what the Curva Nord would like him to do.
