The poor form of Inter midfielder Nicolo Barella is more noticeable due to the undoubted quality that he possesses, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been suggested in a report from Corriere dello Sport, a dip in form from Nicolo Barella stands out more than it would for other players because he has shown how good he is at other times.

He has had some good moments this season for Inter such as the free-kick against Udinese, the goal against Cremonese and the assist for Marcelo Brozovic’s winning goal against Torino.

Apart from that though, he has gone missing in many games and the same thing happened when he played for Italy against England on Friday night this week.

He was far beneath his best and ended up being replaced in the second half by AC Milan midfielder Tommaso Pobega who put in a better display.
