Inter will be playing 12 matches in 43 days before the break for the World Cup and they need to get their season back on track in that time, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Tuttosport, the Nerazzurri will be enduring an extremely tough calendar over the next few weeks just like everyone else.

Inter have lost three of their seven Serie A games already this season and have also lost one of their two Champions League group matches.

There will be eight Serie A matches in this time and the club hierarchy will expect the Nerazzurri to be very close to the teams at the top of the table by the time the World Cup in Qatar kicks off.

There will also be the remaining four Champions League group matches and getting into the last 16 would be very useful for the Suning family from a financial standpoint.
