Inter wingback Raoul Bellanova as well as Nerazzurri-owned defender Lorenzo Pirola and striker Sebastiano Esposito all started in the Italian Under-21 team’s 1-1 draw against Japan.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that all three started the match, with Pirola playing the full ninety minutes.

Bellanova, who Inter signed from Cagliari during the summer transfer window, started at right-wingback for the Azzurri Under-21s, and then came off at halftime for Juventus-owned Bologna wingback Andrea Cambiaso.

Defender Pirola, who is currently on loan from the Nerazzurri at Salernitana, started the match in the centre of a back three, and saw out the full ninety minutes.

Lastly, striker Esposito, who is currently playing on loan at Anderlecht, started the match in attack, leading the line until the 64th minute when he was replaced by Atalanta-owned Empoli striker Niccolo Cambiaghi.

The Azzurri went ahead in the first half through a volley by AC Milan-owned Lecce striker Lorenzo Colombo, before Japanese substitute Shota Fujio pegged them back in the second half.
