Inter are finding themselves worried by the unresolved nature of defender Milan Skriniar’s current contract situation, and want to get things cleared up by the end of the current year.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Corriere della Sera, who report that the Nerazzurri want to reach a resolution in contract extension talks with the 27-year-old before the end of 2022 as Paris Saint-Germain continue to lurk with interest.

Right now there is a stalemate between Inter and Skriniar’s representatives, as no discussions have taken place regarding a possible new deal, and the Nerazzurri are waiting for his representatives to initiate talks sometime next month.

The intention of the club is certainly to increase the Slovakian’s wages from the €3 million net per season that he currently earns, although it remains to be seen how straightforward it will be to convince him and his representatives with a deal that reflects his importance to the team.
