Inter midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is likely to make his return to the pitch in either the Champions League clash away to Bayern Munich, or the trip to face Juventus in Serie A at the start of next month.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Libero, who report that the 29-year-old has suffered a thigh problem which should rule him out of all of the Nerazzurri’s matches during October.

Brozovic had been suspended for Saturday’s Serie A clash with Roma in any event, whilst his absence for both Champions League matches against Barcelona is now virtually certain as he will miss at least a few weeks of action as he recovers from his injury.

According to Libero, the expectation that the Croat could be back in action in any of the Nerazzurri’s Serie A or Champions league matches before the start of November is likely overly optimistic, and he should be back instead at the start of November, to face either Bayern or Juventus.
