Inter striker Lautaro Martinez assisted Argentina’s first goal in their 3-0 win over Jamaica in a friendly match last night, whilst his Nerazzurri teammate Joaquin Correa also made an appearance off the bench.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who highlight the pair’s performance in the Albiceleste’s final match of the current international break.

Martinez has become the first-choice centre-forward for the Argentine national team, a role which was confirmed with his two starts for the team in their two friendly matches during the international break.

The 25-year-old did not manage to get himself on the scoresheet as he had done in the first half of the Albiceleste’s 3-0 win over Honduras, but he did assist Manchester City striker Julian Alvarez for the team’s opener.

Meanwhile, Correa came on in the 79th minute for Argentina, whilst Roma forward Paulo Dybala was not risked by coach Lionel Scaloni due to a risk to his fitness.
