Inter and AC Milan have been offered Real Madrid striker Mariano Diaz on a free transfer for next summer, although the Nerazzurri are lukewarm about signing the 29-year-old.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the Dominican is virtually certain to leave Los Blancos at the end of his current contract next summer, and that both the Nerazzurri and the Rossoneri are among the clubs to have contacted about potentially signing him.

Diaz’s current deal with Real is set to run out at the end of June 2023, and given that he has not had a significant role in the team this season it is clear that he will depart on a free transfer when it expires.

The striker’s representatives have been in contact with a number of teams, and both Inter and Milan have been made aware of the Dominican’s availability for next season.

However, even with the possibility that Edin Dzeko could leave and need a replacement next summer, the Nerazzurri do not see Mariano as a priority target.
