Inter striker Romelu Lukaku has been ruled out of the match against AS Roma on Saturday and is also a doubt for the Champions League game against Barcelona, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Belgian forward has had to postpone his return from a thigh injury which seemed to be set for Saturday’s Serie A clash with AS Roma at the Stadio San Siro.

Not only is he out of that match against Jose Mourinho’s side, but he is also a major doubt for when Barcelona travel to Milan to face the Nerazzurri in a Champions League group match next week.

It seems that the striker needs more time to heal rather than rushing his return and aggravating the injury even further. It is particularly bad news in the context of Marcelo Brozovic also picking up a serious injury whilst with Croatia.
