Lautaro Martinez and Joaquin Correa arrived back in Italy on Wednesday night after Inter chartered a flight to get them back from international duty as soon as possible, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the two Argentine forwards were put on a chartered flight by the Nerazzurri so they could return as quickly as possible from New York where Argentina were facing Jamaica.

They won the game 3-0 thanks to goals from Julian Alvarez and Lionel Messi to continue their superb form heading into the 2022 Qatar World Cup.

The flight first got to London but it then carried on to Milan where the players then spent the night in their homes before training with Inter again on Thursday. It is thought the extra hours of rest could make a difference.

Andre Onana is expected back in Italy on Thursday after being on international duty with Cameroon.
