The agent of Inter-owned striker Martin Satriano has said that the striker dreams of playing for Inter and they feel that he will be the Nerazzurri number nine in the future, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with FCInternews, Nick Maytum discussed the young Uruguayan who is currently on loan at Empoli having spent the previous half-season on loan at Stade Brest in France.

He explained that the striker still has his sights set on being a striker for Inter and he thinks he will lead the line in the future.

“He dreams of Inter. But first he will fight for a call-up to the World Cup. And even before that he will do everything for the good of Empoli. Today he is focused on helping the Tuscans, the rest will come as a consequence.

“We hope and believe he can one day become the Nerazzurri’s starting number nine.”

He got called up to the senior Uruguay squad recently due to his good form with Empoli and Nick Maytum suggested that he had been close to that call-up for some time before he even joined Empoli and got regular game time.

“He is playing very well at Empoli and deserved his call-up and debut in the Uruguay senior national team. Something absolutely special for him. We spoke to each other and obviously he was overjoyed.

“To tell the truth, Martin had been close to being called up for the senior national team for some time. He is a truly complete player, who guarantees everything to the team he plays for.”
