Andre Onana is likely to start in goal for Inter in Tuesday’s Champions League group stage clash with Barcelona.

This according to Italian news outlet SportMediaset, who report that the 26-year-old is the favourite to start ahead of captain Samir Handanovic, continuing his run of having started all of the Nerazzurri’s matches in the competition so far.

Handanovic started in yesterday’s Serie A loss to Roma, though the 37-year-old did not exactly look convincing, particularly with his attempted dive to stop Paulo Dybala’s first-half equalizer for the Giallorossi.

Meanwhile, Onana had impressed with his two previous appearances for the Nerazzurri, against Bayern Munich and Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League.

The feeling is that Inter coach Simone Inzaghi will hand the Cameroonian another chance to impress in European competition, although it is not clear whether this will continue to lead to a policy of rotating between Serie A and the Champions League for much longer.
