Inter striker Lautaro Martinez suffered a potential thigh injury after the team’s Serie A loss to Roma yesterday, and his availability is a doubt for Tuesday’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

This according to Italian news outlet SportMediaset, who report that the Argentine risks not being ready to face the Blaugranas if the problem that he picked up during yesterday’s match is anything more serious than muscular fatigue.

At the end of the match against the Giallorossi, Martinez came off the pitch holding his thigh in some discomfort, with the affected area appearing to be his thigh flexor.

It is not yet known how serious the problem is, and tests over the next few hours should shed more light on the seriousness of the issue.

If the 25-year-old only picked up some muscular fatigue then he may be able to play against Barcelona, but if tests show that the problem is more serious than that, then he would not likely be risked on Tuesday given the possibility of making the injury more serious.

Meanwhile, Romelu Lukaku will certainly be out for the Barcelona clash, meaning that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi could be left with just Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa as senior forwards for the match.
