Edin Dzeko and Joaquin Correa are likely to start in attack for Inter in tomorrow’s Champions League group stage clash with Barcelona.

This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the probable absence of Lautaro Martinez through injury combined with the confirmed missing Romelu Lukaku means that the pair will lead the line.

Martinez picked up a thigh flexor problem after the Nerazzurri’s loss to Roma on Saturday which, while not too serious, is not something the team will want to take any risks with.

The 25-year-old is not likely to start against the Blaugranas, and this only deepens the injury problems of the team who are already missing Lukaku.

Dzeko and Correa, who were both signed last summer, have always been players who the team have expected to be able to turn to when the first-choice pairing in attack are unavailable.

And against Barcelona, it looks as though they will both be given their chance to prove that they are worthy deputies to Lukaku and Martinez.
