Inter striker Lautaro Martinez’s availability for tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Barcelona will be determined based on his condition in training this morning.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Argentine will be assessed and that if he is doing fine no tests will be performed, but that if he is still struggling then he will be subject to more medical examinations.

Martinez picked up a thigh problem after Inter’s Serie A clash with Roma over the weekend, and while the problem does not look to be a terribly serious one, it could still see him unable to start against Barcelona tomorrow.

The team obviously do not want to take any risks with the 25-year-old’s fitness, and so he would only play if the feeling is that he is basically fully recovered.

In this respect, this morning’s training session is set to be key, and unless the Argentine is feeling basically 100%, it would be hard to see him starting tomorrow.
