Wingback Matteo Darmian is set to start for Inter in their Champions League group stage clash with Barcelona tomorrow evening.

This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, who report that the 32-year-old is ahead of Denzel Dumfries to start on the right of the Nerazzurri’s team against the Blaugranas.

Inter coach Simone Inzaghi has not been shy about rotating his team from match to match during a start to the season which has seen important fixtures pile up with only a couple days of rest from match to match.

This practice is set to continue, with the Nerazzurri having only two days to rest up and work to prepare to face Barcelona.

Darmian should return to the team in the right-wingback, whilst the coach could also make changes in midfield and defense.

In the backline, Stefan de Vrij could return to the heart of the back three in place of Francesco Acerbi, whilst Henrikh Mkhitaryan could replace Kristjan Asllani in midfield.
