Inter striker Romelu Lukaku could miss out on not just tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Barcelona, but also the subsequent Serie A match against Sassuolo.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Belgian is seriously at risk of being unable to play against the Neroverdi as he continues to recover from a thigh injury.

Lukaku had hoped to return from his injury not too long after the international break, but so far has missed the team’s Serie A clash with Roma and also will miss tomorrow’s match.

The clash with Sassuolo on Saturday could be a target for the striker to return to the pitch, but there is little certainty over whether he will be able to.

Whilst a recovery from the thigh injury does not seem to be too far in sight, it will be hard to determine when the Belgian is 100%, and until he is he is very unlikely to be risked.
