Barcelona head coach Xavi believes that Inter will be a tougher opponent for his side than their result against Roma over the weekend suggests.

Speaking in a press conference ahead of this evening’s Champions League group stage match, as reported by FCInterNews, the Spanish tactician gave the view that the Nerazzurri deserved to win against Roma, and that injuries will not make them any easier for his team.

Inter will be facing one of their toughest opponents of the season in the form of joint La Liga leaders Barcelona, who currently look to be one of the form teams in European football.

Moreover, the Nerazzurri head into tomorrow’s match quite low on confidence given the disappointing 2-1 defeat at the hands of Roma on Saturday.

However, for his part, Blaugranas coach Xavi believes that Inter would have deserved a lot more than they were able to get against the Giallorossi.

“Inter’s shape is very much automatic no matter who plays,” the Barcelona coach analyzed.

“The last times they’ve been without Brozovic they’ve struggled, but against Roma they played very, very well and would have deserved to win,” he continued.

“It’s an important match for us,” the coach stated, “and we can’t put a foot wrong against them.”
