Inter forward Joaquin Correa has suffered a strain to tendons in his left knee during yesterday evening’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.

This is confirmed by the Nerazzurri’s official site, which updates on the Argentine’s condition after he underwent medical tests this morning.

Correa started yesterday’s match against Barcelona, playing all of the first half and the first ten minutes or so of the second before being taken off for Edin Dzeko in the 56th minute.

The 28-year-old had shown a bit of discomfort at times during the match, which looked to have been part of the reason for his withdrawal.

This morning Correa underwent tests with the team’s medical staff, which confirmed a strain to the tendons in his left knee.

Further tests will be confirmed over the coming days to give more information about Correa’s condition and the length of his recovery period.

It will remain to be seen whether the Argentine will be out for any matches for the Nerazzurri, and if so how many.
