Referee Simone Sozza has been appointed to be in charge of Inter’s Serie A clash with Sassuolo this Saturday.

This is confirmed by an announcement by the Lega Serie A of the officiating crews for all of the fixtures for this matchday, as reported by FCInterNews.

Sozza will be assisted in his duties by the likes of Filiippo Valeriani and Pietro Dei Guidici.

Meanwhile, the role of fourth official will be filled by Andrea Colombo.

In the VAR booth, Marco Guida will oversee the match to ensure that any errors made by the on-pitch officials are corrected.

The role of assistant to Guida as the video assistant will be filled by Lorenzo Maggioni.

Inter will be hoping that the focus stays on the action on the pitch rather than on any officiating controversy.

The Nerazzurri are going in search of a win after having lost their previous two in Serie A against Udinese and Roma.
