Inter defender Milan Skriniar looked like he was back to his old self with his performance against Barcelona yesterday evening.

This is the view across Italian media, with L‘Interista highlighting the positive player ratings that the 27-year-old received for his display.

Skriniar’s reputation as one of the top defenders not just in Serie A but in all of Europe has been built over five seasons with the Nerazzurri, but hasn’t exactly been borne out so far this season.

Against the Blaugranas, however, the Slovakian played the kind of match that fans have become accustomed to based on previous campaigns.

The 27-year-old largely kept Raphinha quiet on the Nerazzurri’s right, whilst he also helped out Stefan de Vrij with striker Robert Lewandowski.

The Gazzetta dello Sport, the Corriere dello Sport, and TuttoMercatoWeb all went to 7/10 with their grades for the Slovakian, whilst L’Interista awarded him a 6.5/10 grade.

Meanwhile, Tuttosport went as high as 7.5/10 with their grade for the defender’s impressive display.
