Former Inter striker Antonio Cassano has said that he did not enjoy the Nerazzurri performance against Barcelona as it was too defensive, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking on his social media, via FCInternews, Antonio Cassano went against the grain by saying that he is not impressed by the way that Inter played as they beat Barcelona 1-0 at San Siro.

He felt that Simone Inzaghi’s side were far too defensive although he did concede that it was a very good result for the team.

“Great win, point. The performance? They defended for 90 minutes, and whoever does that can win once, twice… then in the long run you get the bill.”

He went on to say that Barcelona dominated the match and Inter lacked enough shots on goal.

“Barcelona dominated and there was even a penalty, Inter only had two shots with Çalhanoğlu.

“I didn’t like the performance from Inter, then the result in Italy is good for everyone.”

The win for Inter means that they are three points ahead of Barcelona going into the next three games of the Champions League which is very important.

The reverse fixture is played next week at Camp Nou and that is where Inter can all but book their place in the next round.
