Federico Dimarco represents the soul of Inter’s possible return to form this season, according to a report in the Italian media today.

As has been suggested by a report in La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian defender is the man of the moment right now for the Nerazzurri.

He has definitively made the left wingback place his own when many assumed that Robin Gosens would lay claim to it after Ivan Perisic left the club in the summer.

Federico Dimarco came through the academy at Inter and that has been attributed by many as the reason for his improved form when Inter really needed it.

There seems to have been a collective agreement from both national team coach Roberto Mancini and Inter coach Simone Inzaghi that he is better in a more offensive role.

He has often played in a back three but that does not tap into his major strengths.
