Samir Handanovic, Francesco Acerbi and Kristjan Asllani are all expected to start for Inter in Saturday afternoon’s clash against Sassuolo, according to a report in the Italian media.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Slovenian goalkeeper looks set to keep his place in goal for Inter despite rife speculation that Andre Onana will be taking his place instead.

Many have wondered when Samir Handanovic will be forced to step aside for the younger Andre Onana but it does not seem that the time has come in Simone Inzaghi’s eyes yet.

Other rotated elements of the squad will see Francesco Acerbi come into the back three which is presumed to be in place of Stefan de Vrij.

That means that the Dutchman should start the game against Barcelona at Camp Nou next week.

Kristjan Asllani is expected to play the role that he played against AS Roma in the last Serie A game.
