Midfielder Kristjan Asllani, wingback Denzel Dumfries, and defender Francesco Acerbi are all set to start for Inter in this afternoon’s Serie A clash with Sassuolo.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who also report that Edin Dzeko will come into the lineup from the team that faced Barcelona, whilst Andre Onana will retain his place in goal after starting against the Blaugranas.
Asllani made his first start for the Nerazzurri against Roma last weekend but then dropped to the bench against Barcelona.
The Albanian is set to make his second Serie A start this afternoon.
Meanwhile, Dumfries should replace Matteo Darmian on the right, and Acerbi will come in for Stefan de Vrij.
In goal, Onana has only started in the Champions League so far this season with Samir Handanovic starting every Serie A match, but the Cameroonian looks favourite to start against the Neroverdi.
The Gazzetta’s complete predicted starting eleven is as follows:
Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, Acerbi, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Asllani, Calhanoglu, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
