Sassuolo midfielder Davide Frattesi feels that Inter are always a difficult team to face because of the quality and experience in their squad.
Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia after his team lost 2-1 to the Nerazzurri in Serie A, the 23-year-old also praised midfielder Nicolo Barella as a player he aspires to emulate.
Inter managed to get an important victory over Sassuolo, although it was not easy.
The Neroverdi can make life difficult for anyone with their physical and organized style of play, but the Nerazzurri were able to make their superior quality tell.
Frattesi felt that ultimately it was hard for he and his teammates to get the better of such high quality opposition.
“We had to score a goal in the first half because they have a lot of champions in their team,” he said.
He then called Inter midfielder Barella “The player who inspires me the most in Serie A.”
When it was suggested that he has a comparable style of play to the Nerazzurri midfielder, the 23-year-old said that “That’s a flattering comparison because Nicolo is one of the best, if not the best, midfielders in Serie A.”
“I hope that I can retrace his steps,” he said of Barella.
