There are clear signs that Inter are turning a corner after their poor start to the current season.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who identify certain tweaks made by coach Simone Inzaghi, which appear to have solved some of the team’s early issues.

Inzaghi seemed to struggle to make decisive choices over the first few weeks of the season, and when the coach did make decisions with his lineups, substitutions, or tactics, they often didn’t work.

However, the faith that he has shown in Federico Dimarco as a two-way wingback on the left looks to be one of the major keys to getting consistent performances out of his team.

Moreover, the coach has shown greater comfort setting up deep defensively and hitting opponents on the break in the last couple matches that the team has won.

The Nerazzurri have not necessarily looked like a dominant possession machine in wins against Sassuolo and Barcelona, but what they have looked like is a team who know how to remain solid and capitalize on the opportunities that arise.

This was not the case even a few weeks ago, and the sense is that some effective tweaks by the coach are behind it.
