Forwards Romelu Lukaku and Joaquin Correa are not set to be fit for Inter’s Champions League clash with Barcelona this week.

This according to Italian news outlet Gazzetta.it, who report that the pair are instead targeting returns from injury against Salernitana next weekend.

Lukaku has been out for more than a month recovering with a thigh injury, whilst Correa picked up a knee problem in the reverse fixture against Barcelona last Tuesday.

In both cases there had been some hope that the forwards could return already to be in the squad to face Barcelona on Wednesday.

However, this now looks to be exceedingly unlikely, as their fitness will not quite be ready to be risked against the Blaugranas.

Rather, both Lukaku and Correa are hoping that they can get back to full fitness in time for the next match, with the Nerazzurri hosting Salernitana at the San Siro in Serie A on Sunday.
