Defender Stefan de Vrij and wingback Denzel Dumfries are both set to start for Inter in their Champions League group stage clash with Barcelona on Wednesday.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that both of the Dutch duo will be included in the starting eleven.

De Vrij started against the Blaugranas last week, but dropped to the bench on Saturday as Francesco Acerbi started at the heart of the back three.

However, the 30-year-old should be back in the lineup on Wednesday, whilst Dumfries will keep his place from the win over Sassuolo where he impressed, having been left out of the starting eleven in the reverse fixture for Matteo Darmian.

Meanwhile, on the left side it is between Federico Dimarco and Darmian to start opposite Dumfries.

In attack, Inter coach Simone Inzaghi is likely to use an attacking midfielder behind Lautaro Martinez rather than two strikers, with Henrikh Mkhitaryan likely to be used in the role.
