Legendary former Inter goalkeeper Walter Zenga feels that there is no more ambiguity as to who the starting keeper at Inter is.

Speaking to the press, as reported by FCInterNews, Zenga suggested that Nerazzurri coach Simone Inzaghi has now made his decisive choice of Andre Onana over Samir Handanovic.

Handanovic had retained his starting place in goal for Inter at the beginning of the current season, despite the fact that Onana had arrived as his long-term successor in the summer.

The feeling was that there was a good chance that Onana would grow into the team and supplant the captain in goal as the season wore on.

However, there was little clarity regarding the timeline for this process, and over the past few weeks there have been significant doubts.

However, Inzaghi rewarded the Cameroonian with good performances in the Champions League with his first league start against Sassuolo over the weekend.

Now the coach looks set to confirm Onana’s status with another start against Barcelona tomorrow.

Zenga stated that “There’s no more alternation, I think, Inzaghi has made his decision.”

He’s the coach and it’s only right that he decides and takes responsibility,” the former keeper continued.

Turning to the subject of tomorrow’s Champions League clash with Barcelona, Zenga said that “Hopefully it will be a great match.”

“With all these games coming just a few days after one another, there are sometimes negative and positive performances,” he added, “there needs to be consistency in results and in training.”
