Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is likely to be called up to the squad for the team’s Serie A clash with Salernitana next weekend.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the Belgian is getting very close to a full recovery and should at least be included in the squad for the match next weekend.
Lukaku has now been out for around a month and a half with his thigh strain, and should miss at least one more match in the form of tomorrow evening’s Champions League clash with Barcelona.
However, the 29-year-old is now in the final stages of his recovery period.
Lukaku has been working with the ball over the past couple days of training, and should be able to start getting to match fitness very soon.
It is not yet clear whether the striker will be able to start against Salernitana on Sunday, but he should at least be in the matchday squad.
