Edin Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez are both set to start in attack for Inter in this evening’s Champions League clash.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that the Nerazzurri will line up with a strike partnership leading the line rather than a striker and an attacking midfield.

Dzeko and Martinez are the only two senior forwards currently fit for the Nerazzurri.

This leaves coach Simone Inzaghi with little option but to start the pair together if he wants to maintain the usual 3-5-2 shape.

However, the coach has options in the form of switching to a 3-5-1-1 formation.

Inzaghi has shown his versatility to use this shape in the past with Inter and Lazio, and has numerous midfielders who could fulfill the trequartista role.

However, he is set to trust the 3-5-2 shape with Dzeko and Martinez.

The Corriere’s complete predicted eleven for this evening’s match is as follows:

Inter (3-5-2): Onana; Skriniar, De Vrij, Bastoni; Dumfries, Barella, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Dzeko, Lautaro.
