The agent of Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana has said that the Cameroonian is delighted with the result against Barcelona although the Nerazzurri should have won the game, according to a report in the Italian media.

Speaking during an interview with SerieANews.com, Albert Botines spoke about how Andre Onana felt following the 3-3 draw against Barcelona on Wednesday night which helped Inter almost book their place in the Round of 16.

Andre Onana seems to have become Inter’s definitive number one goalkeeper now having displaced Samir Handanovic in both the Champions League and the Serie A matches.

The agent said that the former Ajax man is ‘delighted with the result’ against Barcelona before talking about how important it was for the collective to get a good result in such a big game.

“It is a moment where happiness has returned high in the group. The team was not having a great period, but now it is back to a very high level of competitiveness again.

“Despite the absences of Lukaku, Brozovic and Correa, Inter never lost its strength. It won against Barcelona at the San Siro and achieved an important result yesterday.”

He then added that the whole team, including his client, are convinced that they should have won the game at Camp Nou.

“In fact, the whole team is convinced that they should have won at Camp Nou, given the many clear-cut chances.

“They know, however, that now the qualification for the next round of the Champions League depends only on them.

“André is happy and content with this moment. He works and continues to work to play and give the team a hand.”
