Inter wingback Robin Gosens has said that the Nerazzurri wanted the three points against Barcelona in the end and said it was an intense game, according to a report in the Italian broadcast media.

Speaking during an interview with Sky Sport Italia after the match, via FCInternews, Robin Gosens remained ambitious when talking about the 3-3 draw with Barcelona on Wednesday night.

The result was positive for Inter because it means they only need to beat Viktoria Plzen in order to secure their place in the next round regardless of if Barcelona beat Bayern Munich as Inter have the better head-to-head record.

Robin Gosens as the man who made it 3-2 to Inter late in the game and he stressed that he knows the team wanted all three points by the end rather than just one.

“In the end we honestly wanted to go home with the three points. It’s not for everyone to bring home a point in such a difficult match.

“For the fans it was a beautiful and intense match, a Champions League match.

“A very good Inter side that suffered, always wanting to stay in the game. In the end we brought a very important result home.”

The German wingback had a headed chance right at the end that could have been the winner.
