Major news is expected within the next week on the future of Inter defender Milan Skriniar who is a target for Paris Saint Germain and with whom Inter want to sign a new contract, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by Corriere dello Sport, the next week could bring a breakthrough in what is the biggest story off the pitch for Inter right now.

The Nerazzurri are trying to get the Slovakian defender to sign a new contract and there seems to be a lot of confidence at the club that he will be staying with them beyond the end of the season.

Inter CEO Beppe Marotta spoke glowingly of Milan Skriniar after the draw with Barcelona but PSG are not giving up on convincing him to join them on a free transfer.

His current deal runs out in June 2023 so he could be sold in January or leave in the summer for free if no deal is found.
