Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is now a doubt for the clash against Salernitana on Sunday but Marcelo Brozovic could be back before the World Cup, according to a report in the Italian print media today.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Belgian forward is unlikely to be risked by Simone Inzaghi for the game at home to Salernitana on Sunday afternoon.

The Nerazzurri are playing in the early kick-off on Sunday and they are taking on a Salernitana side that are in decent form and can be a danger.

Romelu Lukaku has been recovering from a thigh injury for many weeks and his return date seems to keep changing.

As for Marcelo Brozovic, there is now hope at Inter that he can be fit again before the 2022 Qatar World Cup gets in the way of the club calendar.

It was previously feared that he would not be in action for Inter again until the new year.
