Inter midfielder Roberto Gagliardini is set to miss out on tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A clash with Salernitana through a lower back problem.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, who report that the 28-year-old experienced some discomfort in his lower back today and that it will be enough to prevent him from playing against the Granata.
Gagliardini had been an unused substitute in the Nerazzurri’s 3-3 Champions League draw with Barcelona during the week.
The 28-year-old had not necessarily looked likely to start against Salernitana tomorrow, but now it looks to be certain that he will not feature due to injury.
There is no serious injury to Gagliardini, but the discomfort is sufficient for him to be left out of the squad for tomorrow afternoon as a precaution.
It remains to be seen whether Gagliardini will be back in the squad in time to face Fiorentina in Serie A next weekend.
