Inter defender Lorenzo Pirola is set to change his agent later this year ahead of an expected permanent transfer to Salernitana where he is currently on loan.

This according to Italian news outlet FCInterNews, who report that the 20-year-old will switch agent to Beppe Riso in December, whilst he could have the permanent transfer clause in his loan deal triggered by the end of the campaign.

Pirola joined Salernitana on loan during the summer transfer window, although he did not immediately work his way into the first team plans.

However, over the past few weeks the 20-year-old appears to have won the trust of Granata coach Davide Nicola.

There is a clause in Pirola’s loan deal which stipulates that if he makes twenty appearances then Salernitana must sign him on a permanent basis.

It had not immediately looked clear that this clause would end up being triggered.

However, after the defender made his first start for the Granata in last weekend’s Serie A victory over Hellas Verona, it now looks clear that Pirola will meet that requirement barring injury.

Moreover, even if he does not, Salernitana Sporting Director Morgan De Sanctiis’s intention is to sign him on a permanent basis next summer.

In the meantime, Pirola is set to change his representation to Italian football agent Beppe Riso in December when his current period of representation runs out, ahead of the anticipated permanent transfer to Salernitana.

Tomorrow, Pirola will face his parent club with his current loan club, although he looks to be set to become a Salernitana player on a permanent basis sooner or later.
