Inter striker Romelu Lukaku is hoping to be back from injury in time to face Fiorentina in Serie A next weekend.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, who report that the 29-year-old will undergo more medical tests during the week in the hopes that he will be ready to face La Viola.
Lukaku will miss yet another match for the Nerazzurri tomorrow against Salernitana, as the thigh injury he’s been recovering from for more than a month continues to keep him out.
However, a return is certainly on the horizon for the Belgian.
Inter will have a week between tomorrow afternoon’s Serie A clash with Salernitana and their trip to Tuscany to face Fiorentina next weekend.
The hope is that Lukaku can use the week to finally get fully fit so that he can make his return to the pitch next weekend.
In this regard, medical tests during the week will prove crucial in determining whether Lukaku can already return against Fiorentina.
